Atari Brings Back Its ’80s Rival with the New Intellivision Sprint!
(Somewhere, a ColecoVision Is Crying)
In a twist no gamer from the early ‘80s could’ve predicted, Atari has resurrected its old rival! Teaming up with Plaion, they’ve launched the Intellivision Sprint, a modern reimagining of Mattel’s classic console that once challenged Atari’s dominance and sparked the first-ever console war.
The new system seamlessly blends vintage style with today’s technology, complete with the iconic gold-and-wood grain finish, HDMI output, two wireless rechargeable controllers, and 45 built-in games. Fans will find classics like Astrosmash, Shark! Shark!, Boulder Dash, Sea Battle, and a full roster of Intellivision’s legendary sports titles (Baseball, Tennis, Super Pro Football, and more). Each game even comes with recreated controller overlays, two per title, just like the originals.
The Intellivision Sprint is now available for pre-order for $149.99, shipping December 5, 2025, just in time for the holidays!
